There is a couple of international events which the NFIA is directly involved in:
Gold Cup
The Gold Cup is considered the ‘unofficial’ World Championship of the Nordic Folkboat Class. It is held every year – in a constant change of countries in charge.

Sessan Cup
The Sessan Cup is considered a team contest consisting of two boats per team from either different countries or different fleets within a country organization.
It is organized on an unregular basis.
The last Sessan Cup was held in April 2014.; organizing club was the "Seglervereinigung 1903" in Berlin - Germany.
The next event will be organized in the UK in 2022. The 2022 Sessan Cup will be hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, and will be run alongside the UK National Championship and the Walcon Cup:
September 17 and 18, 2022 – UK Nordic Nationals and Walcon Cup
September 19 to 22, 2022 – Sessan Cup
